With the news of Spider-Man coming to the MCU, we decided to take a look back on the other Spidey films that have been made to date. In the first of this two-part episode, we’ll look at the three Raimi films—Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3.
In our first live episode, we discuss the addition of Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the latest episodes of Agent Carter, The Flash, Arrow, and Constantine, the Fantastic Four reboot trailer, and more. Plus, Johnny may finally be giving up on Gotham and Perry finally gets around to watching Battlestar Galactica…six years after it ended.
We’re back again, this time to talk about Guardians of the Galaxy! We’ve kind of mentioned it in passing a few times, but here we sit down and have a chat about it, including sharing what we know about the different incarnations—Johnny is more familiar with the classic Guardians from the future while Perry knows more about the Guardians that the movie was based on. Also some (by now) outdated news!
So yeah, we kind of screwed up. This episode was supposed to be a discussion of Guardians of the Galaxy, but given there was so much news to catch up on, we ended up having to table that discussion for the next episode. Instead, we discussed Marvel’s Phase Three movies, DC’s movie slate, also touched on the beginning of this season’s comic book shows. Listen in to hear Perry’s rant against Gotham and Johnny’s rant against the DC Cinematic Universe! Plus, Johnny finally sees the Age of Ultron trailer!
In this episode that we recorded months before we got around to uploading it, we talk about some news that has already been discussed to death and go on random tangents, plus Johnny’s dad has a warning for listeners about potatoes. Somewhere in the midst of all this nonsense, we discuss Thor: The Dark World. We’d tell you about Johnny’s hilarious recap, but you’re better off listening to it yourself.
It’s been a looooong time since our last episode, and we come back to catch up on news that you probably heard months ago. The boys also look at some of the trailers for big comic book movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain: America: The Winter Soldier (the latter two of which are already in theaters), debate the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and the main discussion is focused on the Marvel One-Shot All Hail The King, which the guys feel is a step forward in apologizing for Iron Man 3.
